Q: What materials do you use?
A: Most of Erica's designs are in Sterling Silver or Gold Fill unless otherwise noted. All gemstones are genuine precious or semi precious stones.
Q: What is Gold Fill?
A: Gold fill is an actual layer of gold which is pressure bonded to another metal. It is not gold plated and contains more gold than gold plated. Gold fill does not rub off or turn colors and can be worn by anyone who can wear gold without worry of allergic reaction. It will last as long as 14kt gold.
Q: Is 14kt Gold Available?
A: Absolutely! Erica would be happy to create select designs in 14kt gold as a custom order. Please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org if you are interested in beginning this design process. Pricing is based on current market value of gold as well as design details.
The best way to preserve the luster of your jewelry is to store it in a cloth jewelry pag or plastic bag. We do not recommend swimming in the jewelry. Avoid contact with lotion, chemicals, etc..
Q: How do I care for my Sterling Silver Jewelry?
A:All Sterling Silver will eventually oxidize and tarnish but can be restored to luster with proper polishing. The easiest way to clean smooth or polished silver is with a clean soft cloth. Silver is a very soft metal so never use a tissue to polish as it can leave tiny scratches on the surface. A 100% cotton cloth or flannel cloth is recommend.
To clean brushed Sterling Silver pieces, scrub gently with a toothbrush dipped in a little baking soda and water, rinse, and blot dry with a soft towel or cloth.
You can also prevent tarnish by storing your jewelry when you aren't wearing it to protect it from air and light. Chlorine can damage Sterling Silver so don't forget to remove when swimming.
