The Yoga Art of Ellen Brenneman In the Om16x20 Canvas
This canvas print is part of an ongoing series of yoga and inspiration works by Ellen Brenneman.
This canvas print is from a painting that is quite different from those that normally come to Ellen. The phrase came first, which reads, ‘A woman’s place is in the Om.’ From there she set aside her usual watercolors and began working briskly in acrylics on canvas. She wanted to paint a self portrait of Every Woman who finds joy in practicing yoga, in colors that command attention - symbolizing strength, peace and harmony. Vivid teals, crisp fuchsias and bright yellows are the main colors used with red and purple accents.
Ellen's desire to create has always been a driving force in her life. To know her, look no further than her subject matter. Simply put, she paints the things she feels passionate about, including avian life and tree forms.
Having been introduced to the practice of traditional yoga, Ellen began building a relationship between Body and Spirit. It was during this time that her yoga series began to emerge, and she hopes that her work invokes a feeling of interconnectedness between viewer and painting.
Durably constructed with a 1 1/4 inch depth and a finished backing.
The sides of the canvas are presented in a soft teal to compliment the background of the piece.
It arrives ready to hang.
